i finally watched the rest of fast times at ridgemont high and was totally posotive that it was my new favorite movie. ive kind of been on this 70s/80s high school movie tangent for awhile because theyre so damn happy and hilarious and badass. i guess im just living a little vicariously through them cause my high school years were pretty lame. anyways so i followed fast times up with dazed and confused. while i was watching dazed and confused i kept trying to compare the two and it was so wierd, like i kept waiting for something zany to happen. but then i realized that fast times is like a typical romantic comedy, while dazed and confused it more of a drama/ character study. not all high school movies are the same i have come to realize. actually, dazed and confused stands apart. grease, fast time, breakfast club even, they all have that same comedy element. dazed and confused is a slice of life.

also the whole time i was watching i could not get over how much pink looked like andrew vanwyngarden!
